During peak seasons and holidays, book tickets online in advance and select a time slot to minimize queues. Allow 4-5 hours for the full experience and start early.

Avoid Chinese Holidays

Strongly avoid Golden Week (Oct 1-7), Chinese New Year (late Jan/Feb), and Labor Day (May 1-5). Crowds are extreme and tickets often sell out weeks in advance.

You must reserve a specific time slot and choose a tour route (Route A: cable car up/road down, Route B: opposite, Route C: road both ways). The standard adult combo ticket is 285 CNY, covering the cable car and park shuttle. Discounts are available for students and seniors. Children under 6 or below 1.3m in height get free park entry. Tickets are valid for one entry on the booked date only. Note the difference between the downtown cable car station and the mountain gate; a free shuttle connects them. Tickets sell out quickly in peak season, so advance booking is highly recommended.
