Yadan National Geological Park
The Devil's City on the Gobi, a wind-sculpted fantasy land
About This Place
Yadan National Geological Park, also known as the 'Devil's City,' is a spectacular yardang landform on the edge of the Lop Nur. Sculpted by wind erosion over hundreds of thousands of years, it features mysterious castle-like mounds, 'fleets,' and sculptures. Compasses often malfunction here due to magnetic interference, and howling winds at night add to its eerie atmosphere. Access is via shuttle bus, making it a must-visit for photographers and geology enthusiasts.
