Hongshan Forest Zoo
A life-respecting forest zoo with no animal shows
About This Place
Hongshan Forest Zoo is China's only self-funded public welfare zoo and the first in the country to abolish animal performances. Built on a hillside, it features unique forest landscapes and 37 themed pavilions, dedicated to animal conservation and public science education, offering visitors an immersive wildlife observation experience. Allow at least 3 hours for your visit; the hilly terrain makes stroller rentals or shuttle rides a practical option.
