Shenzhen Safari Park is China's first free-range zoo, combining wildlife viewing, forest landscapes, and science education. The vast park features a subtropical garden ecosystem where you can get up close with a variety of wild animals. We recommend setting aside at least 3 hours for your visit and bringing your own snacks and water.

It's best to visit on weekdays to avoid weekend crowds. Try to arrive at 09:30 when the park opens to make the most of your day. The park is large, so prepare for sun protection and mosquito repellent.

Avoid Chinese Holidays

Strongly avoid Golden Week (Oct 1-7), Chinese New Year (late Jan/Feb), and Labor Day (May 1-5). Crowds are extreme and tickets often sell out weeks in advance.

Advance Booking Required

Tickets must be booked in advance via the official WeChat account "深圳野生动物园" (Shenzhen Safari Park) where discounted advance tickets are available. Entry requires ID verification; visitors without ID can use other valid documents at the ticket gate. The base ticket does NOT include the sightseeing train, rental carts, or animal feeding experiences. Children under 1.2m and seniors over 70 (with valid ID) enter for free.
