Island entry is free, but a round-trip ferry ticket is mandatory. Tickets must be booked in advance via the real-name system on the official website of 'Xiamen Ferry Co., Ltd.' (up to 15 days ahead) or its WeChat Official Account (up to 5 days ahead). Book 2-3 days ahead for weekdays and at least 10 days ahead for holidays. Round-trip fares are typically 35 CNY (standard cabin) or 50 CNY (deluxe cabin). Tickets are non-changeable but refundable up to 1 hour before departure. Board by scanning the ID card used for booking. The main departure point is Xiamen International Cruise Center (to Sanqiutian or Neicuo'ao Pier). Sanqiutian Pier is closer to the main attractions.
