Xiamen Botanical Garden, locally known as 'Wanshi Botanical Garden', is a meticulously designed plant paradise centered around the Wanshiyan Reservoir. It features over 20 specialized gardens housing more than 6,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants. The misty 'Rainforest World' and the photogenic giant cacti in the 'Sand Plant Zone' are its standout attractions. Beyond the flora, the garden integrates stone carvings, serene lakes, and ancient temples. The viewing platform at the New Stele Forest offers a panoramic vista of half of Xiamen Island, making it a lush urban escape.

Visit in the morning to avoid crowds and capture the best light for photography. Time your visit to the Rainforest World during the misting periods (9:00-11:00 & 14:00-16:00) for the most magical atmosphere. The garden is vast, so allocate at least half a day. Enter from the West Gate for easiest access to the main attractions.
Ticket Information
Tickets can be purchased on-site at the West Gate ticket office. Full-price tickets are 30 RMB, with discounts or free entry available for students, seniors, and others. You can also book online in advance via the official WeChat mini-program or major travel platforms for potential small discounts. It's recommended to pick up a map at the ticket office. An internal sightseeing bus (5-10 RMB) is available to save energy and cover more ground efficiently.
